I love learning new things, especially by surprise and today, that happened. Did you know that Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna of Russia lived in Toronto until she died in 1960? Same, I had no idea! And because of this special news (and the fact that I, a Mississauga resident, made my way downtown today) I thought it would be fitting to feature her as my historical figure of the day. It's always nice to learn new tidbits about Toronto and ramble about them.
