Veterinary Professionals' NextGen is a website created for students and emerging veterinary professionals who are interested in learning about the industry, gaining advice on how to grow a career, and connecting with each other. Sarah Said is responsible for sourcing and editing all content on the site and creating all promotional aspects, including social media. NextGen works with its audience, as well as experienced veterinarians, to create personable content that aims to inspire, motivate, and help the next generation of veterinary industry members. NextGen is also dedicated to ensuring it maintains involvement with organizations and causes that bring awareness to social responsibility, ethical issues, and diversity and inclusion.
PODCAST: NEXTPOD
Every month, Sarah Said hosts NextPod and speaks to an expert about an important topic within the veterinary industry. She is responsible for finding the speakers, reaching out, and coming up with interview questions. Past guests include mentor, Dr. Tannetje' Crocker, Senior Director for Institutional Research and Diversity at the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), Dr. Lisa M. Greenhill, and president of the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative (WVLDI), Dr. Bridget Heilsberg. The podcast's mission is to work as a resource for its audience and offer a safe space for thoughtful discourse. It is hosted on vpnexgen.com.
